The Presents is a UK based company that specialises in traditional gifts, fancy goods and handmade wooden crafts and glassware. We mainly trade at different shows throughout England, Scotland & Wales. We are a customer oriented company that aims to always give good customer service and satisfaction as well as provide an answer to each customers aesthetic whim; impulse to treat and enhance a mystical experience. Indeed, it is a guaranteed perfect day out for the whole family. Having a very wide product range, we cannot carry our whole product range to various shows. CANDLES AND TEA-LIGHTS - HOW SAFE ARE YOURS?

The market for candles in the UK has increased in recent years as their usage has changed from the purely functional to recreational or lifestyle use.

We at The Presents takes safety extremley seriously when selling candles and tea-lights to consumers. We know the intentional dangers are and advise all customers what those dangers could be - we ask all consumers to read the warning information enclosed with a sale of candle or tea-lights.

Candle safety is about common sense beahaviour and users should always remember that they are a potential fire risk if not used with care. It is the way they are used that causes them to be unsafe.

I would like to remind all our customers of the dangers of candles, following this simple fire safety advice could save lives...

1. Never leave candles to burn unattended.

2. Always read and follow manufactuer's instructions on candles and remove all packaging before use.

3. Ensure all lighters and matches are kept out of the reach of children.

4. Do not move candles when lit.

5. Always place candles well away from curtains and always out of draughts.

6. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

7. Keep candles away from hair and clothing.

8. Always make sure that candles are properly ectinguished, especially before going to bed.

9. Remember some candles are purely for decoration and should not be burnt.
